Mississippi River Brass Band Bio

The Mississippi River Brass Band is a twenty-eight member band populated on the instrumentation of the traditional British Brass Band. The instruments of the band are cornets, flugelhorn, euphoniums, baritones, trombones, tubas and percussion. The band is composed of some of the finest brass players in the United States. The members come from all parts of the US for goodwill touring throughout Europe. Many of the band members hold advanced performance degrees from major universities on their instrument. The band has helped raise thousands of Euros to benefit the charitable causes of Rotary Clubs in Germany and Poland.

In Europe The Mississippi River Brass Band has performed:

At the Castle Gardens in Prague, Czech Republic,
In Zlin, Czech Republic as a special guest of the city,
On two separate occasions in Zelec, Czech Republic,
Two benefit concerts for the Rotary Club in Krakow, Poland
In Zakopane, Poland,
In Vienna, Austria,
In Salzburg, Austria,
Two separate benefit concerts for the Rotary Club in Ingolstadt, Germany.

The band’s conductor, Dr. Jack Stamp, is known throughout the world as a conductor and composer of band music. When not conducting the Mississippi River Brass Band he serves as a guest conductor and music clinician for bands throughout the United States. Learn more about Dr. Stamp at jackstamp.com

The band performs a variety of music, from sacred to classical to pop and jazz.

The next performance tour for the band will be a tour of Germany in July of 2022 with concerts in Berlin, Leipzig, Zelec, Fussen, Bad Kreuznach and Gross Umstadt
