Welcome to the Stillwater Haunted History Trolley Tours

On a dark and rainy evening, you leisurely board your trolley to tour one of the oldest cities in Minnesota, but this tour goes downhill quickly when uninvited characters randomly begin boarding. Traveling the city to areas of Stillwater’s haunted past, these true-to-life stories told by actors wandering the trolley unearthing ghosts of the past. Each creepy character brought back to life to tell their own true horror story of Stillwater long ago!!!

2022 Haunted History Tour FAQ’s by Wahoo! Adventures

1. Where do we get on our Haunted History Tour?
The tours depart from The Zephyr Theatre at 601 Main Street North in Stillwater, MN 55082.  There is plenty of seating and the tours start and end here.  You must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your trolley tour time or your tickets may be given to the “rush line”. Doors open at 6pm.

2. Where do we park?
There is parking at The Zephyr Theatre and there is also a parking lot next door, across from the Warden’s House listed as Lot 12 on the Stillwater Parking Map.

3. How scary is the event?
We would love to scare the dickens out of everyone, but we recommend ages 12 and older.  You will need to be able to sit on the trolley for 60 -70 minutes and there are no child seats.  There will be actors dressed as historic characters that can be scary for some children.  The subject matter of these historic stories can be gruesome or contain some graphic details.

4. What tour times are available?
There will be a 7:00, 7:30, 8:15, 8:45, and 9:30pm tour and plan for about 90 minutes while in line, boarding the trolley, the tour, and get back to The Zephyr Theatre again.  Doors open at 6pm.  The Zephyr Theatre closes at 11:30pm.

5. Where are my tickets?
You will receive an email confirmation after booking your tour online.  Ensure the date and time is correct.  This is a ticketless event, just check in when you arrive that night.  Easy, peasy!

6. What is included in my tour registration?
Your registration includes the 60-minute theatrical trolley tour, scary movies, scavenger hunt, prizes, bonfires, and s’mores.  Beer, wine, cocktails, water, and sodas are available for purchase at The Zephyr Theater. Pizza and snacks are available for purchase.

7. What is your refund policy?
Due to the high demand for these tickets, there are NO refunds or date exchanges, but you can transfer your tickets to a friend, but please email us at kerri@mywahooadventures.com so we can make that change and that person will be allowed on the trolley in your place.  There will not be any refunds for anyone who misses their tour.  You must check in 15 minutes prior to your trolley tour time or your tickets will be given to the “rush line”.  Thank you for understanding.   Fall 2022

8. Is the trolley accessible for people with disabilities?
Unfortunately, the trolley tour is not accessible at this time due to the nature of the event and uneven surfaces.

9. How should I dress for my Haunted Tour?
The trolleys are heated but the doors will be open and shut frequently.  October temperatures vary, so we recommend you dress in layers, so you will be ready for fall temperatures.  Of course we welcome those who want to get into the “spirit” and come costumed as well.

10. Rain or Dark?
The Haunted History Tours will be held rain or of course dark.  In fact, a rainy tour may be the perfect backdrop for our gruesome stories!

11. I’ve taken the tour, now I’m starving, what are my options?
We will have pizza and desserts available for purchase at the theater, plus we encourage you to come early or stay late and enjoy other fun restaurants and venues in Stillwater.  Check out Discover Stillwater to plan your evening.

12. Fright or Flight? The Haunted Trolley Tour is scary, but mostly ALL fun.
Please be respectful to your fellow trolley riders.  Here are the RULES:  No cussin, no yappin, no lap sittin, no flash photos (don’t blind the actors), and no crazy Uncle Larry. We reserve the right to remove any boy or ghoul who interferes with everyone else’s enjoyment.

13. Of course, we are leaving number 13 for the COVID Policy.
The Haunted History Trolley Tours will be following CDC guidelines.

Don’t miss the tour – please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early.
Doors open at 6pm. This gives you time to check in, enjoy a beverage, participate in the Scavenger Hunt, and take a potty break before your trolley departs.

Saturday, October 29th is The Zephyr Theatre Halloween Masquerade Ball 21+ fundraiser.
Tickets are priced differently and include music, entertainment, appetizers, plus the haunted trolley tour. The event is from 7pm to midnight, but when you purchase tickets, you will select your Haunted History Trolley Tour time at booking.
