Internationally acclaimed pianist, vocalist and Kawai-endorsed touring artist Phil Thompson performs a night of Billy Joel and Elton John’s biggest hits along with special guests Scott Dorff on saxophones and Jake Hegna on guitar. Sing along to all your favorites including “Bennie & The Jets”, “Your Song”, “My Life”, “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant”, “Rocket Man”, “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me”, “Crocodile Rock”, “Movin’ Out”, “Daniel”, “New York State of Mind” and of course no piano-hits show to these legends would be complete without “Piano Man”!

Phil Thompson Pop Pianist & Vocalist Bio

Phil Thompson is an internationally acclaimed pop pianist & vocalist and is an official Kawai endorsed touring artist. As Phil’s current album, Love Themes from the Silver Screen continues to chart on iTunes in the “Top 20” Love Themes albums, he has toured across the globe performing at venues including Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand in Macau which lead to a featured article in Cosmopolitan Magazine – Hong Kong, and many of the globe’s top sporting events including the US Open Tennis Tournament in New York for 3 years in a row, the Rogers Cup, the Shanghai Rolex Masters and China Open, as well as the Wendy’s 3 Tour Challenge in Las Vegas. Phil has also headlined on several specialty-themed cruise events, most recently on the “Wine, Dine & Music Cruise” as spotlighted on USA Today with Kenny Loggins and Three Dog Night and Phil has also served as an opening act for artists including Rod Stewart, David Foster, Brian McKnight, The Canadian Tenors, and Clay Aiken to name a few.

When not on the road performing, Phil can be seen on WCCO-TV as their “Man About Town” and as a special musical guest on programs which have included Twin Cities Live (KSTP 5), Fox Morning Buzz (KMSP 9) and KARE Sunrise (KARE 11) as well as TPT/PBS-2 for many of their pledge drive events.
